We had the pleasure of staying at Balquisse Heritage for 2 nights as a couple and had a fantastic time. Read on to find out what we thought during our recent stay!

Balquisse Heritage Hotel: Location
Located in the bustling Jimbaran area, just a 15-minute drive from the airport, Balquisse is perfectly situated for those who want to explore the island and not waste time on a lengthy commute.
What we liked the most about its location it’s that it is just a 10-minute stroll from the expansive sandy beach of Jimbaran.
Unlike many other beaches in Bali, Jimbaran is as safe to swim and is famous for its seafood restaurants serving up delicious meals right on the sand. The area is also known for its luxury hotels, making it a great spot for those looking to indulge in some pampering.
For adventurers, Balquisse Heritage Hotel is a great base for exploring Bali, with Uluwatu just a half hour away by car, where you can take in jaw-dropping cliff-top views, visit epic beaches, and the world-class surfing spots. And if you’re looking for a taste of Balinese culture, Ubud is just an hour’s drive away, with its rice paddies, waterfalls, and rich heritage waiting to be explored.
Arriving At Balquisse Heritage Hotel Jimbaran
As soon as we arrived at Hotel Balquisse Heritage Bali, the staff ensured a swift and hassle-free check-in process, and we immediately felt the warmth of their hospitality.
They gave us all the information about the hotel’s amenities, like the delicious breakfast spread, relaxing spa treatments, and their restaurant.
We were also offered a refreshing welcome drink of lemonade and a cold towel to beat the tropical heat, which was a lovely touch, especially after a long travel day.
You’ll then be invited on a tour of our stunning property, where you’ll discover the rich history and cultural heritage that surrounds you, as well as all the fantastic hotel amenities. Of course, if you’re too tired, you can opt out of the tour or do it the next day after a good night’s sleep. Finally, your suite will be unveiled to you in all its grandeur during a personalised tour.
Rooms At Balquisse Hotel Jimbaran
We had the pleasure of staying in the Junior Plantation Suite, which features a king-size bed, a stunning open-to-the-room bathroom with a shower, and premium toiletries like shower gel, shampoo, and hair conditioner. The large bathtub allowed us to relax and unwind while being surrounded by pure comfort.
We also appreciated the desk, plush seating area, and armchair, which made it easy to curl up with a good book. The room also was equipped with a coffee machine, and since we are big coffee lovers, we really appreciated a good cup of coffee in the morning. There was also complimentary water in refillable glass bottles and Jammu shots in the fridge, which is a typical Indonesian health drink.
The small touches, such as cosy bathrobes and bamboo slippers, added to the luxurious experience. Additionally, the complimentary beach accessories, including a sarong, hat, towels, and beach bag, made our stay that much more special and comfortable.
Other rooms at Balquisse Heritage Boutique Hotel include deluxe double rooms, family bungalows that can sleep up to 4 persons, the Shaba Master Suite and Vintage Teak House.

Complimentary breakfast
The complimentary breakfast at the Balquisse Heritage was nothing short of fabulous! We loved slow morning by the main pool, sipping on coffee, and just enjoying the tranquil ambience surrounded by nature.
The a la carte breakfast menu includes a variety of delicious starters and mouth-watering main courses.
Every morning we began our morning with a shot of Jammu juice, packed with ginger, turmeric, and lime to energize our day, followed by a coffee and a starter – a smoothie bowl, a pancake, or fresh fruit.
For main courses, we really liked either avo on toast or egg and salmon croissant.
Swimming Pools
The Balquisse Heritage Hotel boasts a total of three exquisite pools, each offering something unique. The large pool by the restaurant provides the perfect opportunity to indulge in a delicious meal while basking in the sun. Meanwhile, the two smaller pools, nestled within lush greenery and blossoming bushes, offer a peaceful retreat for those seeking a little privacy and relaxation.
The hotel guests can bask in the sun on plush sun beds or find solace under traditional Balinese umbrellas and flower bushes. With only 22 rooms in total, the pools never get busy, creating an intimate atmosphere that encourages relaxation and rejuvenation.
We loved spending our afternoons unwinding by the large pool near the restaurant and escaping to the smaller, more secluded pools when we craved a peaceful retreat.
Henna Spa
My partner and I had the pleasure of experiencing a traditional Balinese massage at the Henna Spa, which was nothing short of divine.
On arrival, we were greeted by friendly therapists and got an aromatic feet wash before our massage session began. Not only were the skilled therapists able to ease the tension in our muscles, but the serene ambience and calming aromas transported us to a state of utter relaxation. After the treatment, we enjoyed a cup of delicious ginger tea.
The Henna Spa had an array of services to choose from various relaxing massages and soothing coconut baths to head massage and foot reflexology.
Restaurants at Balquise Heritage Hotel
The Asam Garam restaurant at Balquisse Heritage Hotel serves some of the best fusion food on the island. Its menu includes both international and Indonesian specialities, with an emphasis put on fresh ingredients sourced from local farmers.
We dinned at Balique, which is the hotel’s second restaurant situated just a short walk from the hotel. The moment we walked into Balique restaurant, we were immediately taken aback by the elegant Balinese-inspired decor. The ambience was warm and inviting, and the staff was super friendly. We knew we were in for a memorable dining experience.
From the menu, we decided to try the mie goreng and were not disappointed in the slightest. It was flavorful and satisfying, making us appreciate this iconic Balinese dish. The restaurant also had a vegan option for this dish, which is great since I don’t eat meat.
We couldn’t resist trying the chocolate souffle for dessert, and it was absolutely mouth-watering. To accompany our meal, we ordered a local rose wine which perfectly complemented the dishes we had.
Overall, our experience dining at Balique was nothing short of amazing, and we were grateful for the opportunity to try such delicious food in such a beautiful setting.
Yoga
Balquise Heritage Hotel also boasts a fully-equipped yoga studio that offers a peaceful oasis for yogis of all levels. With floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook lush greenery, the space is filled with natural light that is sure to inspire your morning practice.
You can either join in on the daily yoga classes or participate in one of their twice-yearly yoga retreats for a truly transformative experience.
During our stay, the yoga classes were not running, so, unfortunately, we didn’t get to experience it first-handed.

Our Experience At Balquisse Heritage Hotel
Our stay at Balquisse Heritage Hotel was truly amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were swept away by the romantic and luxurious ambience of the place. Our stylish room provided the perfect space to relax, including a large bathtub that we couldn’t resist taking a soak in.
The quiet swimming pool and plush loungers made for an incredibly peaceful atmosphere to unwind in.
We also took advantage of the chance to pamper ourselves with a Balinese massage at the spa, which was truly an indulgent treat which you have to try when you visit Bali!
Slow mornings at breakfast were a welcome change from our busy schedules, and we appreciated the extra touches the hotel provided, such as a sarong and beach basket to take with you to the beach.
Finally, as a photographer, we also really appreciated the picturesque surroundings, which provided the perfect backdrop for taking photos and capturing memories.
Overall, our experience at Balquisse Hotel Bali was simply unforgettable.
