Most Unique Bali Hotels With Infinity Pool

In this section, we’ve picked out a number of hotels with infinity pools in Bali that have an undefinable X factor. Each of these hotels combines impeccable design with an awesome location to create a flawless getaway – one that’s ideal for a romantic escape or a special celebration.

#1 Six Senses Uluwatu – Clifftop Views.

Staring out across the ocean from the main infinity pool at the Six Senses Uluwatu is like getting lost in an impressionist painting, as the seascape meets the sky in a collision of serene blues.

LOCATION: Head across to Padang Padang Beach for surfing or discover the lesser-visited sandy stretch of Nyang Nyang for some leisurely swimming and sunbathing. If you want to explore the local culture, we recommend heading to Uluwatu Temple (10 minutes by car) in the evening to see the Kecak dance.

FACILITIES: Aside from the main infinity pool, the Six Senses also has a kids’ pool and a relaxation pool, both of which also face out onto the ocean.

The dining options are solid – including an upmarket steakhouse and a clifftop bar plating up a more casual fare – but it’s the spa that really wowed us with its decadent treatments, yoga/meditation pavilion, gym, and chic relaxation space with plunge pool.

ROOMS: If you’re looking for villas in Bali with infinity pool areas, the Six Senses has several different options to choose from, ranging from one bedroom to four bedrooms. Alternatively, there’s a slightly smaller but no less stylish suite.

Book your stay at Six Senses in Uluwatu here:

#2 Elevate Bali by Hanging Gardens Munduk – Secluded Bali Infinity Pool Hotel In The Northern Highlands.

A bit more off the beaten track than some of the other jungle resorts, Elevate Bali by Hanging Gardens is a piece of paradise all by itself.

LOCATION: There are lots of waterfalls, rice terraces, and lakes to explore in the nearby area, making Munduk a must for fans of hiking trails and adventures in nature. The airport is a couple of hours away.

FACILITIES: The site hosts its own restaurant, bar, and coffee shop, as well as an excellent spa and a couple of different communal outdoor swimming pools that gaze out onto the surrounding jungle.

For something a little more personal, the hotel staff can also arrange for a firepit BBQ, a picnic beside the nearby lake, or a romantic meal for two on one of the wooden decks overhanging the greenery below.

ROOMS: Blending the contemporary with the traditional, all the 26 lodgings here are spectacular, but it’s the Elevate Bali villas with infinity pools and hot tubs that offer something truly special.

Book your stay at Elevate Bali in Munduk here:

      #3 Buahan, a Banyan Tree Escape – Adults-Only Haven.

What sets Buahan apart from other hotels with infinity pools in Bali is its ‘naked’ concept, which essentially means that the accommodation is open to the jungle, with no doors or walls to separate you from the amazing highland wilderness.

LOCATION: This Banyan Tree location is a schlep from the airport (90 minutes minimum, depending on traffic), while Ubud is about 40 minutes away. However, there are lots of natural wonders in the vicinity that can easily occupy an entire holiday.

FACILITIES: The communal infinity pool is the heart of this resort, lined with loungers where you can observe the lush jungle while you sip a cocktail made using freshly picked herbs and botanicals.

One of our favourite things about the Buahan is that every aspect of the property takes its cue from the location, whether it’s the zero-waste restaurant or the spa that uses indigenous ingredients in its treatments.

ROOMS: Three levels of ‘bale’ (traditional Indonesian hut) are on offer here, each one boasting a private plunge pool and a spacious sundeck. While they are all approximately the same size, they are differentiated by the quality of the view from the room.

Book your stay at the incredible Buahan here:

#4 Puri Wulandari A Boutique Resort – A Traditional Bali hotel with infinity pool With Contemporary Comforts.

The Puri Wulandari caters extensively for honeymooners with a string of special services, but there are also sizable three-bedroom villas so that families can enjoy this fantasyland, too.

LOCATION: Ubud is about 15 minutes away by car, providing plentiful restaurant and bar options that you can mix into your enjoyment of the rice terraces and waterfalls that suffuse the area.

FACILITIES: Even if you haven’t hired your own car (there is free private parking on site), the hotel has a shuttle bus that will take you into Ubud. Alternatively, you can explore the area on one of the Puri Wulandari’s signature experiences, including cycling tours and village treks.

There are lots of activities that the hotel can organise, but if you prefer to stay on site, there are two restaurants, a bar, a spa, and a communal infinity pool.

ROOMS: Another Bali resort with infinity pool views in every villa, the lodgings here draw upon traditional architecture and décor to deliver a charming, characterful stay.

Book your stay at the Puri Wulandari in Ubud here:

#5 Munduk Cabins – Best Bali infinity pool hotel in Munduk.

If you’re someone who prefers immaculate modern design over a traditional aesthetic, the Munduk Cabins are for you. There are just six rooms available, making for an exclusive, peaceful getaway.

LOCATION: The property is situated in an excellent area for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts, with waterfalls, rice terraces, and lakes to explore in the vicinity. Its remoteness does mean a two-hour journey from the airport, while the black sands and dolphin cruises of Lovina Beach are just under an hour away.

FACILITIES: Considering the number of rooms, there’s a decent array of communal areas. A modestly sized infinity pool is complemented by a firepit, a hot tub, and an all-day restaurant and bar.

ROOMS: Floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the cabins are our favourite feature of the resort’s contemporary design, taking full advantage of the gorgeous views.

For a cosy hideaway, the 388-square-foot studio is bijou perfection, while the 1,292-square-foot two-bedroom suite encompasses an open kitchen-dining-living area, two bathrooms, and a big balcony with chairs and a banquette.

Best Jungle Hotels In Bali With Infinity Pool

While the first thing people think of when they think of Bali is soft, sandy beaches, the island is also blessed with a breathtaking jungle that contains plentiful hidden natural wonders. These hotels in this section are perfect for people who go on holiday to have an adventure as well as relax.

      #6 The Sebali Resort – First-Class Service.

The Sebali is one of the more intimate Bali resorts with infinity pool views. There are only a handful of rooms available so that we felt we had the full attention of the staff.

LOCATION: Around 15 minutes north of Ubud town, this hotel is situated in the Petanu River valley, a short drive from Tegalalang’s famous rice terraces and several waterfalls that dot the region.

FACILITIES: The spa is a treasure, featuring not just treatment areas but a hot tub that opens out onto the jungle. There are also daily yoga classes available, or you can forego the exercise and just lounge in the communal infinity pool, located just off the main restaurant (there’s also a very pretty bar topped by a curvaceous tent-like roof).

A shuttle bus connects the resort with Ubud.

ROOMS: For a Bali infinity pool villa with panache, the Sebali has two options, though the principal difference is whether your pool view looks out just onto the valley or onto the river.

Regardless of what you choose, the rooms are stylishly decked out with wooden floors, a marble bathroom containing a freestanding bathtub, and a handful of curios that add some local flavour.

Book your stay at the Sebali Resort in Ubud here:

#7 The Kayon Valley Resort – Town Meets Jungle.

If you want to be a little bit closer to the conveniences of a town, the Kayon Valley Resort’s villas are on the outskirts of Ubud while still providing you with that cool feeling of jungle living.

LOCATION: There’s quite a bit more choice in terms of restaurants and shops within walking distance compared to other jungle hotels with infinity pools in Bali. Ubud attractions like the palace and the Monkey Forest Sanctuary are still a fair schlep, however, so you’ll need a bike or car to reach them.

FACILITIES: Fortunately, the Kayon Valley Resort supplies bicycles and a shuttle bus free of charge, which makes it super easy to explore the local area.

Aside from the infinity pool, the property also has a couple of restaurants with great views, a spa, a gym, a boutique, and – we love this little touch – its very own wedding chapel space, set on a floating platform amidst the jungle.

ROOMS: All the villas here come with private pools, but having peeked into a couple of different rooms, we can tell you that there’s quite a variety, not just in terms of the size but also in terms of the facilities and the views.

Book your stay at the Kayon Valley Resort in Ubud here:

#8 The Kayon Jungle Resort – An Oasis of Repose.

Contrasting the Kayon Valley Resort, the Kayon Jungle Resort is more secluded, nestled up in the hills on the edge of a small village.

LOCATION: Ubud is about half an hour’s drive, while the airport is just under two hours away.

FACILITIES: The Kayon Jungle Resort has one of our favourite infinity pools of all the Balinese hotels around Ubud, and that’s saying something! Designed to resemble the rice terraces that fill the region, a trio of tiered pools jut out from the hillside, watched over by a giant stature of Kumbakarna, a legendary hero from the epic Ramayana.

When you’re not in the pool, there’s also an art gallery and a boutique to peruse, plus standard facilities like a restaurant, a gym, and a spa.

ROOMS: If you’re looking for Bali hotels with private infinity pool villas, this resort is a fantastic option, balancing a rustic Balinese aesthetic with modern comfort.

Book your stay at the Kayon Jungle Resort in Ubud here:

#9 Natya Resort Ubud – Best Bali resort with infinity pool For Indigenous Design.

Natya’s collection of sweet villas is full of character so that while you enjoy the natural scenery, you can also enjoy the local culture.

LOCATION: Just to the north of Ubud town, this escape is on the edge of a small highland village, surrounded by a mix of lush jungle and rice terraces.

FACILITIES: You can rent a bicycle and make your own way to Ubud or take the lazy option and hop on the scheduled shuttle bus.

The all-day restaurant serves up a mix of international cuisine and opens out onto the communal infinity pool, with views that will satisfy even the most demanding connoisseur. There’s also a spa with all manner of decadent treatments to pamper and preen your skin.

ROOMS: Aside from the private plunge pools, the highlight of the rooms here is the fabrics, which boast bright patterns and colours that enliven the atmospheric accommodation.

Book your stay at the Natya Resort Ubud here:

#10 Ulun Ubud Resort – One of the best hotels with infinity pools in Bali For Value For Money.

The Ulun Ubud Resort is one of the best-value stays on our list, offering a delightful jungle stay but at a lower price point than some of the more overtly luxurious hotels.

LOCATION: This is the place to stay if you want to be within easy reach of the town centre but in a quieter part of Ubud. There are a couple of casual eateries nearby, as well as the Neka Art Museum, which contains a nice little collection of local works in a tranquil setting.

FACILITIES: The communal infinity pool, garden, restaurant, and lounge bar all exude a laidback vibe that’s well-suited to people who like a bit more casual charm.

A complimentary shuttle bus takes guests into the centre of town at scheduled hours.

ROOMS: The rooms here are decorated with a smattering of local flavour, though they are decidedly less opulent than many of the other Bali hotels with infinity pools we’ve included in this post.

On the other hand, the Ulun Ubud often has room-rate deals that are great value for money for those with an eye for a bargain.

Book your stay at the Ulun Ubud Resort here:

Best Hotels With Infinity Pools Bali And Incredible Views

Almost all the places we’ve included in this post have good views, but this section is dedicated to the crème de la crème of panoramas – hotels with infinity pools in Bali that we feel stand out even compared to the very high overall standard of Indonesia’s premier island destination.

      #11 Munduk Moding Plantation – Activity-Filled Stays.

Does the idea of staying on a working, organic coffee plantation in eco-conscious lodgings sound heavenly? Munduk Moding supplies just that, alongside one of the most gorgeously situated infinity pools in all of Bali and a packed schedule of activities.

LOCATION: The resort is found in the sleepy village of Gobleg, a short drive from both Buyan Lake and Tamblingan Lake, as well as several scenic waterfalls.

FACILITIES: One thing we think is really cool about the Munduk Moding Plantation is its MMP Experiences Program, which is essentially a daily rota of workshops, tours, and exercise classes that are all included in the room rate.

A sauna, a yoga studio, a gym, a tennis court, a hot tub, and a spa are among the wellness amenities, while for dining, there are two different restaurant options, as well as a couple of firepits where you can roast marshmallows.

ROOMS: Although the suites offer a charming rural aesthetic, it’s the pool-equipped villas that are really stunning. There are one-bed spots for couples, as well as huge five-bed places for family and/or friend getaways.

Book your stay at the Munduk Moding Plantation here:

#12 K Club Ubud – Tree-Suspended Bali Private Villa With Infinity Pool.

The K Club is one of the latest hotels to set up shop in Bali, its attractive setting complemented by an exquisite set of brand-new facilities.

LOCATION: A 15-minute drive north of Ubud, this property is just a short car ride from natural spectacles like the Ceking Rice Terraces and the Manuaba Waterfall.

FACILITIES: The spa, the yoga studio, and the gym all take full advantage of the glorious jungle views, but it’s the in-house club that’s the biggest standout, offering a thumping party atmosphere with live performances on certain days.

There’s also a chic restaurant where you can enjoy fine-dining plates, as well as cycle hire so you can explore the local scenery.

ROOMS: There are two types of accommodation to choose from at the K Club. The glamping tents are a fabulous way to live suspended amidst the trees, while the villas are more spacious affairs that can sleep up to 10 people.

Book your stay at the K Club in Ubud here:

      #13 Padma Resort Ubud – A Full-Service Fun Palace.

What we like best about the sprawling Padma Resort is that it has everything you could want on site, from multiple pools to different F&B concepts and even a jogging track.

LOCATION: About half an hour north of Ubud, this complex is near the heart of Bali, about 90 minutes to two hours from the airport.

FACILITIES: Archery, golfing, yoga, fishing, cycling, agroforestry, and many more activities are available on-site, as is an 89-metre-long heated infinity pool, a more intimate lower pool, a kids’ pool, a spa, a gym, and a jogging track.

#14 Wapa di Ume Sidemen – One of the best Bali hotels with infinity pool In Sidemen.

The Wapa di Ume Sidemen is in one of the lesser-visited parts of Bali, making it a great place to stay for people who like to take the road less travelled.

LOCATION: Located in the eastern part of Bali, which has been called the new Ubud, this jungle-ensconced resort is part of a quiet rural village. The property directly backs onto the local rice terraces, while waterfalls and other natural attractions are easily reachable.

FACILITIES: Wow, does this hotel have a dreamy two-tiered infinity pool? Aside from this gorgeous water feature, there’s also a delectable spa, a gym, and a specially designed yoga pavilion.

The resort also has an open-air restaurant and bar, as well as free bikes that you can borrow to explore the surrounding scenery.

ROOMS: From 624-square-foot suites with balconied terraces to 1,270-square-foot villas with private pools, the accommodation here is all neatly decorated in unfussy décor that’s functional rather than flashy.

#15 Komaneka at Tanggayuda Ubud – All-Villa Nature Escape.

Another of the excellent hotels with infinity pools in Bali that lie in the highlands north of Ubud, Komaneka at Tanggayuda

LOCATION: In the same area as Puri Wulandari, the Komaneka at Tanggayuda is a 15-minute drive from downtown Ubud. Nearby, you’ll find a number of river rafting companies if that floats your boat.

FACILITIES: Indulge in some self-care at a rustic-style spa, or just lay back and enjoy the views in the communal infinity pool. If you’re one of those people who relaxes by getting their pump on, there’s a decent gym, or head to the library for an improving read.

Batukaru Kitchen serves up meals throughout the day – you’ll certainly need a continuous supply of energy if you take part in the diverse roster of complimentary activities that the hotel puts on, including wood carving, yoga classes, and Balinese dancing.

ROOMS: Primarily built for couple getaways, the Komaneka at Tanggayuda is largely composed of one-bedroom pool villas that feature copious wood furnishings and a soothing beige colour palette.

Sea View Hotels With Infinity Pool In Bali

Now that we’ve tempted you with the innumerable jungle possibilities, it’s time to turn our eyes oceanward. If it’s the sight and sound of waves rolling ashore that soothes your senses, these wonderfully appointed resorts are just the thing, providing a scenic setting for your beach holiday.

#16 The Ritz-Carlton Bali – One Of The Most Luxurious Hotels In Bali With Private Infinity Pool.

Among the best resorts in Bali with infinity pool facilities, the Ritz-Carlton wrote the book on 5-star luxury. If a suite at a high-end address sounds just your style, this is the hotel for you!

LOCATION: One of the mainstays of the upmarket Nusa Dua resort area, the Ritz-Carlton, comes with its own private beach area. Many more beaches are within driving distance, as are malls, water sports vendors, and golf courses.

FACILITIES: The hotel itself boasts an infinity pool with panoramic views of the ocean, as well as a kids’ pool with water slides.

It’s the spa, though, that really stands out for us. This facility includes an incredible Hydro-Vital Pool with five different areas where you can indulge in some hydrotherapy, immaculate treatment rooms, a sauna, a steam room, and a whirlpool.

There’s also a nice variety of dining options, including Bejana, which serves Indonesian cuisine with second-storey views, and the Beach Grill, which plates up steaks and fresh seafood beside the ocean.

ROOMS: The suites here are tasteful and charming – we recommend opting for one that opens out onto the communal lagoon pool – but for something special, splurge on a villa, which comes with a private plunge pool.

Book your stay at the Ritz-Carlton in Nusa Dua here:

#17 Bubble Hotel Nyang Nyang – The Ultimate Beachside Glamping Experience.

One of the most distinctive hotels with infinity pools in Bali, the Bubble Hotel offers a fun glamping experience right beside the ocean.

LOCATION: There are three Bubble Hotels on Bali, but this one is located right on one of our favourite secluded beaches, Nyang Nyang.

FACILITIES: The principal attraction of this Bubble Hotel is that it provides an escape from the world, so don’t expect much in the way of facilities, although there is a daily continental breakfast served at your accommodation.

Having said that, the staff are happy to help arrange a variety of experiences in advance, from romantic dinners and beach bonfires to stargazing and beach volleyball.

ROOMS: There are just a handful of bubble tents here, each one complemented by its own private garden, a private outdoor bathroom with a shower, and glorious sea views. Some boast spa baths in the garden, while others come with their own plunge pools overlooking the ocean.

#18 The Seminyak Beach Resort & Spa – Modern Rooms In The Heart Of Beach Town.

Few hotels in Bali with infinity pool views over the sea are in a buzzier part of Bali than the Seminyak Beach Resort & Spa, which is right on the oceanfront but also surrounded by plenty of places to eat, drink, and shop.

LOCATION: On a stellar stretch of Seminyak beach, this hotel has loads of restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance. The airport, meanwhile, is a mere 25 minutes away by car.

FACILITIES: Obviously, our favourite thing about this place is the infinity pool, which serves up excellent cocktails alongside sunset views.

When you’re not gazing into the ocean blue, there are a couple of on-site restaurants, a good-sized spa with sauna and multiple plunge pools, and a daybed-dotted tropical garden.

ROOMS: In contrast to the beach setting, there’s nothing cabana-like about the Seminyak Beach Resort’s rooms, which are dominated by dark wood. In the Ocean Suite, there’s a rather lovely Jacuzzi with sea views, while the villas come with their own unoverlooked pool.

Book your stay at The Seminyak Beach Resort here:

FACILITIES: There are multiple pool areas to explore at the Alila, from the family facilities to the infinity-style party pool with a swim-up bar.

The hotel’s main restaurant specialises in sustainably caught seafood, although there are also vegetarian and vegan options as well as a modest selection of chicken and meat dishes.

Rounding out the facilities is a spa and gym for adults, plus a kids’ club for little ones.

ROOMS: Rooms here look like something straight out of an interior design catalogue, modelling a minimalist aesthetic that’s tres chic. All rooms here come with some form of outdoor space where you can relax al fresco.

LOCATION: The Renaissance’s infinity pool looks out over the clifftop greenery towards the sea. While it isn’t directly on the beach, both Padang Padang (excellent for surfing) and Pandawa Beach (a lovely white sand stretch) are a short drive away.

FACILITIES: The Renaissance is linked with a beach club on Pandawa that can be reached using the hotel’s complimentary shuttle service. There are four different F&B concepts to choose from, but the piece de resistance is the various pools, including the main infinity pool, the jungle pool, and the kids’ pool.

ROOMS: One of the larger resorts, the Renaissance, has a ton of reasonably priced rooms, all of which come with either a balcony or a terrace.

Hotels With Infinity Pools In Bali: FAQs

What is the most luxurious area to stay in Bali?

Oceanfront Nusa Dua is a very bougie part of Bali, as it’s filled with 5-star resorts, but it’s also a victim of its own popularity and can be quite busy. For something a little quieter, inland Ubud has some very secluded luxury escapes that are surrounded by pristine jungle.

Where do celebrities stay in Bali?

The St. Regis in Nusa Dua is a perennial fave with celebs, including the likes of Chris Hemsworth and Tom Holland. Others prefer the more tranquil surround of the Buahan, while the more party-minded peeps go to Seminyak hotspots like the W.

      Is Bali high-end?

Honestly, it depends on where you go. Some parts of Bali are still incredibly exclusive, especially some of the highland villa complexes or resorts with private beaches. On the other hand, you can also find chill spots that have more of a beach bum/surfer vibe that’s on the casual rather than the high-end side.

Which month is best to visit Bali?

The dry season runs from April to October, so we would definitely suggest visiting within those months. However, if you want to avoid the bigger crowds (and also the higher prices that come with them), don’t plan a trip for the height of the summer holidays.

      Is Bali expensive?

If you want to stay at the Six Senses or the Oberoi, then yes, Bali is very expensive! But it doesn’t have to be. You can find lots of very nice hotels for a reasonable price, and similarly, there are plenty of casual restaurants serving excellent food that don’t have to cost you a kidney.

      Is Bali safe?

Yes, Bali is very safe. It’s incredibly rare for any serious crime to take place, and even petty crime is uncommon compared to other popular tourist destinations. The most dangerous part of visiting Bali actually comes from natural disasters, particularly flooding.

Hotels With Infinity Pools In Bali: Final Word

We’ve tried to include places for a mix of budgets in this post, covering both the highest of high-end spots and more moderately priced affairs. After all, we believe that everybody should be able to enjoy the bountiful beauty that Bali has to offer from the soothing surroundings of an immaculate infinity pool!
